The Rolling Stones would be my second choice from this list.

Kinda depends on the mood I'm in and what's happening in my life at the time.  Beginning to suspect I have some sort of ADD and/or senility.  I was able to narrow it down a bit.  In the end, I chose Led Zeppelin because I keep coming back to them as the years pass.  And, as we all know, the song remains the same,

First of all Zappa is an individual. The Mothers of Invention were the band.



Secondly, I purposely left out any bands whose careers were mostly in the sixties. Otherwise the Beatles would just take another one.
