Sex Pistols - Never Mind the Bullocks (1977) -
This still blazes with genuine hellfire. Beyond classic (on beautiful vinyl).

Kinks - Arthur (deluxe 50th anniversary edition)

Just picked up this newly remastered double vinyl edition at Amoeba. The first record is a perfect pressing of the original album. The second one includes all the era's singles and b-sides. This has always been my favorite album by Ray & the lads. The beautiful gatefold sleeve is faithfully reproduced, as well.

One of my favorites, too! I have the deluxe CD ed., with the mono and stereo versions, plus the singles and unreleased stuff.

I have that CD, as well. I always felt that Arthur was a much better concept album than The Who's Tommy. That one was far too pretentious with the overtures, undertures, and the nonstop  mention of Tommy plus constant repetition of the the deaf/dumb/blind thing. Arthur had better songs and a lot more subtlety about the "concept" aspect. Most people weren't even aware that it was a concept album.

GREAT choices. Two of the best albums of the late sixties. Which version of Village Green do you have?
