 Blue Cheer - Vincebus Eruptum
Quite possibly the first heavy metal band and one of the thrashiest of their time. Dare I say, their take on "Summertime Blues" out rock's even the Who's version.

Totally, BC's version of Summertime Blues is classic. I really dig that era of acid rock bands: Blue Cheer, Vanilla Fudge, early Deep Purple, Iron Butterfly etc. Then of course in Detroit around the same time you get awesome garage rock bands like MC5, the Stooges, Alice Cooper . . . just a great time for hard rock music.
