Went to see Will Haven in SoCal last week. They were sick. Saw them for first time in Detroit back in 97 open for Deftones.

Mord

The Modern Lovers  first l.p.  - Great early punk produced by Velvet Underground's John Cale.

Nothing like good old school Power Metal.

Mord

The Birthday Party - Mutiny in Heaven.   Amazing, brain- f***k of an album. Nick Cave is one hell of a songwriter. Listen to "Deep in the Woods" or "Jennifer's Veil". Killer tunes (literally).

I went to Amoeba Records this weekend and dropped a couple of hundred on vinyl. Got all the Birthday Party, Velvets, Bad Seeds, Dylan etc. I love record stores...wish there were more around.

I've been into METAL for 45 of my 58 years. Having Youtube has given access to bands I never would have known about without it.
One of my fave powermetals that I happened across less than a year ago is the mighty POWERWOLF. Pretty much anything a Metal fan needs.

Here is a BIG shoutout to all the brave people that served in WW2. Epitome of Heavy F'in Metal.
My uncle Jack who died over 15 years before I was born was on a ship in the gulf of Mexico and got blown to crap by a Nazi U-Boat.
And Yes this song is a different place but still....
Anyway this song is a tribute to Audie Murphy one of WW2s badasses EV-ER
