Bowie - Aladinsane  - This is becoming my fave Dave album. One of the truly great records of the seventies and beyond.

Definitely a fantastic album
"They come from the bowels of hell; a transformed race of walking dead. Zombies, guided by a master plan for complete domination of the Earth."

Mike Scott

Currently listening to another home made compilation of old favorites. These are, basically, "one hit wonder" types. At any rate, I never had any albums by any of these artists, but I really liked these songs.

Thanks, Mars, we are brothers of the same musical genes.

The kids and their pals are learning Zombies and Kinks from the 1960s... SHE'S NOT THERE and TELL HER NO... SUNNY AFTERNOON, WELL RESPECTED MAN, TIRED OF WAITING... lesser-played 'cover' songs.  They're great fun... not sure how these will be received in teen dance parties but ever set could use a break or a slow, oddball one, and the Kinks definitely fill that.

Kids need to be exposed to the classics. Bach, Beethoven and Beatles.

GREAT choices, Christine. The Kinks "All Day and All of the Night" is a party on it's own. Try that one to get things going.
