Here's a bad boy that needs to be in the Sci-Fi collectibles thread. Robot Commando by Ideal 1961. Hypnotic weird eyes rotate and he is controlled by a hand-held device that originally was intended to be voice-activated. Robot Commando throws balls from his swinging arms and fires missiles from his head. I got lucky with mine, he is gently used, but also still has an unopened bag of original balls and missiles.....

Scatter

Bud, you CANNOT post something like that without accompanying video of its ballistic capabilities in action!! Ya just CAN'T!!
We're all here because we're not all there.

Hey there Scatter! Well, I was thinking that I've seen the Robot Commando commercial here on the UMA several times. Another one of those classic commercials that makes the toy look alittle more impressive than it is in person....ha!

Oh man! Not only is the box in great shape but the bag of balls and missiles is unopened! That is fabulous.

Yea, I had 2 used missiles to display with Robot Commando.....didn't want to tear into the bag.  Them balls and missiles have been looking out through that clear plastic bag for 52 years! Yikes!

A new Robot for the collection, works great!  8) Need to find some suitable ears for him.

Here's the Cracker Jack Spaceman series from the 60's.....I believe these 9 represent the entire set........

Hepcat

Oh man! Those are such cool premiums, especially compared to how cheap the ones in Cracker Jack have gotten these days.
