Here are scans of my Space Magic coins that were premiums within Krun-Chee, Schuler's and Nalley's Potato Chips in 1964 or so:

Although all these brands were also sold somewhere in Canada at the time, my impression is that these coins were only distributed in the U.S. since that's where they all seem to originate these days.

Never seen anything like those, Hep. Did the States put these in chip bags too?

Hepcat

Yes. Both the Space Magic and Space Orbit coins were available in chips in the States. The coins were packed in little cellophane bags. Old London Potato Chips also made Rocky & Bullwinkle coins anailable in 1964(?) and metal baseball coins in 1965.

The Giant 17-in Robot is one I've recently been looking for info on-

Kinda surprised to see he was made by Mego...

MEGO Gigantor 17inch tall walking toy robot

He generally goes for a bit less than the Horikawa Giant, I'd love to have both! Both have the same unique back and forth walking, maybe some similar tooling between the 2 companys.

Here's an uncut sheet of space themed rub off transfers:

The transfers were included as premiums in Cracker Jack for a few years around 1960. I saw this uncut sheet hanging on the wall of a card shop in London about nineteen years ago and I had to buy it. The sheet brought back an almost forgotten memory of these tattoos having been included in the boxes of Cracker Jack that were given out in the boodle bags at the Labatt's company Xmas party for kids at the London Arena. While we waited for Santa to make his appearance, we got cake, cookies and ice cream and were entertained by a wonderful magician.  Every child's name was then called and we  each received a wrapped present such as a model kit together with the boodle bag full of candy treats from Santa. It couldn't get any better than that for a kid at the time.

Isn't that great! Robots don't have to do too much to be totally facinating!

Amazing if you take one apart how much engineering went into these 40+ year old toys!
