The Man of a Thousand Faces
« on: February 18, 2020, 01:55:04 PM »
I did this kit about 5 years ago and it was an intense build.  It is, of course, Lon Chaney, the Man of a Thousand Faces, with his makeup kit and three of his most famous creations.  It is resin and about 1/6th scale so fairly large.  The pin striping of the pants was really difficult and tedious.  I ended up selling it but found another which I hope to build someday.  It appears very infrequently on eBay but commands a fairly large price and hasn't been produced in about 20 years.  Let's see if this picture link works.

Absolutely beautiful! That's my all-time favorite kit. You did a fantastic job on it, a real labor of love.

Beautiful!  Which company put out the kit?

It was sculpted by Jeff Yagher, though not sure of the company. They carried them at Monsters in Motion.

Janus put out the kit. There's one for sale for over $2,000, online.

Janus put it out but it was probably 20 or so years ago and they have been out of business for about that long.  Every once in a rare while one will pop up on eBay and I think I paid $300 for the fist one I bought and about $325 for the second one.

Here are some other pics of it from different perspectives.
