I hope the movie is better than the confection.

The film is okay. Typical formulaic plot. Some good practical FX.

31 in 31 #20:  Nope

This was fun.  Very pretty visually.  Weird monster.  And any use of Michael Wincott and Keith David is always appreciated.

Unfortunately I'm not going to get my 31 movie challenge done.  Just didn't have the time between getting as many hours as possible at work and other responsibilities.  That's two years in a row.  Better luck next year, I guess.

We watched 'Us' over the weekend.

Another interesting Jordan Peele movie that has a lot of themes going on to make you think.  I enjoyed the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk scenes as well as the fun pop culture 80s references.  Worth the watch in my opinion.

Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (1931)

Sleepaway Camp

Finishing up the night with a bonafide classic that my brother hadn't seen yet with Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, and Sleepaway Camp, which I haven't seen yet.  Unfortunately the big twist was long since spoiled, but I always have fun with an old school slasher.

John Carpenter's 'The Fog'

Love to watch this one every Halloween!

Maniac Cop ll

I don't know if I'll bother with the third, but I do think it's funny that they make all of the cop characters look like real dickheads.

The Prowler (1981)
Cabin in the Woods

The Prowler was new for me.  Solid classic Tom Savini effects.  Cabin in the Woods is just a fun time.
