The Hammer production of The Mummy.  Never saw it before. Not a bad film at all.  Good acting, production.  Talky at times but not boring.

Indeed! I think it's one of their best! Gushing and Lee were both excellent!

Honestly, I prefer it to the Universal original!

Watched "The Catman of Paris" on YouTube.

I think it's one of Republic's best horror/mystery/thriller features. More like a good 40's Universal film. It does, however, suffer the all-too-common problem of giving away the identity of the bad guy from the casting.  ;D

The Thing from Another World.  Another film I hadn't seen before.  Creepy, scary and well paced for a film from that era.  It was far more intelligent than other monster films made at that time.  Matt Dillon, okay.

That's why it's a classic, like "The Day the Earth Stood Still" and "Invasion of the Body Snatchers".  :)

Matt Dillon, okay.

Also in THEM!!

How was Barbarian?

I thought the beginning was promising, but it got pretty ridiculous after a while. By the end, I felt very cheated.

Hansel And Gretel 2013. The Asylum's attempt to cash in on Witch Hunters.

Honestly not that bad by Asylum standards, you can do worse.

The pies were obviously frozen Chicken Pot Pies from Marie Callender's though.......
