White Zombie (1932) 💀
Mark of the Vampire (1935) 🧛‍♀️

Both films are really great. Even if Mark of the Vampire is kind of a remake.
"They come from the bowels of hell; a transformed race of walking dead. Zombies, guided by a master plan for complete domination of the Earth."

Fail-Safe, 1964 - The American President fails to stop one of the planes mistakenly sent to attack Moscow with nuclear bombs.  He must find a way to convince the Russians it was a mistake and make amends in a way that they will agree not to launch an all-out attack against the U.S.

Henry Fonda, Dan O'Herlihy, Walter Matthau, Frank Overton, Larry Hagman, Fritz Weaver, Dana Elcar, Dom DeLuise and Sorrell Booke.

More realistic version of the story told by Dr. Strangelove.  Unfortunately Strangelove was released in January of 1964 and was a much flashier production.  Fail-Safe was not released until October of 1964 and did not garner such large audiences.  (Much better than the made-for-TV remake of 2000.)

Chilling premise for someone like me who lived through 1964 as a high school senior.
