Great twist on the superhero genre.

Recommend, Mord?
Yes, but not strongly. I think you might like it. It's the Superman story, except he only does bad things. Yeah, try it out.

Superman fan, I am not. However, I will check it out. So...Elizabeth Banks is kind of a Ma Kent.

Exactly. It's enjoyable...kinda the anti-Superman.

Yeah I liked it a lot more than I thought I would. I mean I like the superhero genre anyhow, but I thought this was going to an anti-hero flick. I thought the kid was going to be confused about his powers and sometimes use them for good, but sometimes go too far. The movie is not that at all. Instead the kid is straight up gnarly. Film was way more horror than I was expecting. Easter eggs during the credits indicate they may expand the universe too.

Await Further Instructions (2018)  -
Family gets together for Christmas at mom and dad's house. Errant son brings home new girlfriend who happens to be an immigrant. Racist grandpa doesn't approve of darker people entering HIS England (sounds like Thanksgiving Day in 'Merica 2020). Something happens in the middle of night, and the house is enclosed by black metal barriers. The T.v. comes on and starts giving written instructions on the screen. Every new order gets more and more outrageous, and turns family against family. It would have made a great Twilight Zone/Outer Limits episode if not for the sh*t ending. Great premise, terrible payoff.

Santo & Blue Demon vs The Monsters

I LOVE those luchador monster flicks. I have some but the don't have subtitles, so I just enjoy the ride.
