Colossus: The Forbin Project, 1970 - The U.S. builds a homemade stationary Gort - then gets a surprise.

Maybe the computers seem less ancient to me because I remember Univac from my childhood.

I watched my German Blu-Ray.  Man, I love that all-region player.

It's the only way to go (all-region). It really opens up new possibilities.

I just watched the excellent Arrow release of Caltiki - The Immortal Monster. Its the 1st I had seen this film and I liked it very much. A different take on The Blob.

These Final Hours, 2013 - Waiting for the end in Australia - again.  Only this time it's nature's fault, not man's.  And no one is playing "Waltzing Matilda".

Mike Scott

Thor: Fraglerok

Didn't like it as much as the first two. Too much comedy.

Well, yet another round of snow and ice here in Reading PA. I was going to go out, but decided against it with the sleet, and tomorrow looks to be worse. So, I went through the monster, horror flicks that I purchased from the local Goodwill store a few weeks back, picked out another 3 to watch.         Castle of Blood with Barbara Steele--The Vampire Lovers with Ingrid Pitt--and The Blood on Satan's Claw.

Damn!!  It's no wonder why I had a crush on Barbara Steele when I was 10!!!

The Fall of the House of Usher, 1960 - Roger Corman's stretched version of Edgar Allan Poe's short story.

The Pit and the Pendulum, 1961 - Roger Corman's elongated interpretation of another Poe shorty.

Both are worth watching, but I much prefer the Pit & Pendulum.  Vincent Price is in top form on both.

Watched these on 2018 Blu-Rays from UK Arrow.  Great images and sound with double commentaries on both.  They've never looked better for home viewing.
