One of those PRC titles I still need to get.

Good luck finding a good, clear copy.

The Image Entertainment DVD has a lousy "Image" but pretty clear sound.

I don't expect too much from PRC titles.  :(

I've been meaning to watch Vampyres for a while. Great film. I'm scheduling a double feature for tomorrow:
     Vampyres/Female Vampire

Good double-feature. Nothing wrong with some old fashioned vampire lesbo erotica!  ;D

Vampyros Lesbos would make it a perfect triple feature.

High Spirits, 1988 - This high-spirited, ghost-filled comedy didn't play in theaters very long.  Of course it is silly, but I think it is a lot of fun.  The action takes place in what must be one of the most charming castles I have ever seen and, although the Irish don't celebrate it the way we do, some of the action takes place on All Hallow's Eve.

Impressive cast for such a little film including:  Peter O'Toole, Beverly D'Angelo, Steve Guttenberg, Jennifer Tilly, Peter Gallagher, Martin Ferrero, Daryl Hannah and Liam Neeson.

If you are in the mood for something goofy, give it a chance.

The Leopard Man - Though one of Lewton's lesser classics, some scenes really pack a punch.  I'm always haunted by the scene where the mother locks her daughter out for not bringing back the tortillas. Before she could unlock the doors, the daughter's blood seeps through the bottom of the door. The graveyard scene is pretty creepy, too. Ok, maybe it isn't one of his lesser efforts after all.

It's like the difference between gold medals and bronze medals. Lewton didn't have "also ran" movies.
