Fargo 1996 - Not horror, but just as good. The Coens create their own world with every movie.

LOVE "Fargo".

It is as good as any home invasion horror story.  It plays like a true crime drama, with all the little screw-ups and wrong turns of an actual crime drama.  It seems as starkly real as the story of Dick and Perry in "In Cold Blood".  Yet, it still manages to be amazingly funny at the same time.

I always come away from a viewing feeling moved by the experience.

I actually like this DVD
"They come from the bowels of hell; a transformed race of walking dead. Zombies, guided by a master plan for complete domination of the Earth."

I really like it as well. Emilio Vieyra's work is great drive-in fare. It's really kind of edgy for the '60s, more like what you would expect in the '70s. I just ordered a copy of the old Something Weird Video DVD release for The Curious Dr. Humpp from 2000 in the old snapcase. It has many of the same actors from Blood Of The Virgins. Vieyra had some Argentinian Hotties working for him back in the day. Both Susana Beltran and Gloria Prat were very comely actresses that lit those films up.

I'm a big Mondo Macabro fan anyway. I have several MM DVDs and I love 'em all.  :)

Mondo Macabro is a great company. I agree

The movie was great and so is the series. The series captures the feel of the movie better than any other movie to TV venture. Very Coen-esque.

The Skeleton Key, 2005 -  Modern day hoodoo in a run-down Louisiana plantation house.  Good cast with OK acting and good cinematography.  Not very original.  Doesn't manage to stand out from the rest.

Maybe if they had taken a little more time to make me care about the star.  I didn't dislike her.  I just didn't feel all that involved.
