The Hobbit: The Battle Of The Five Armies (2014)

The Hobbit Trilogy falls a little flat for me after the excellence of Peter Jackson's Lord Of The Rings Trilogy. They did them in the wrong order and Hobbit had too much to live up to.

Love Camp 7 (1969)

Not terrible, but definitely not-so-great Exploitation WWII spy drama with lots of marginally attractive women and bouncing parts. This is an example of a film which is much more fun to discuss than to watch. It is historically important for Exploitation fans because it's the first Nazisploitation film and spawned the nasty (but entertaining) little short lived sub-genre in the '70s. Exploitation fans look for Bob Cresse in a major role and Dave Friedman in a minor one.

The House That Screamed (1970)

Really good early Spanish Horror film with cute girls and a cool twisted ending. Victor Israel pops in a few times as a sinister looking handyman. He would go on to be a very popular character actor in '70s Eurocult films.

I wish! I found a copy at Walmart. Unfortunately it is a MST3K version.

Anything with Allison Hayes in it deserves a lot better!  :)

You betcha!  ;)

I did encounter something strange with that deal though... I bought the GR Cannibal Ferox BD during Target's sale and got it for around $17 which was great. But, the main disc was defective and wouldn't load (first time that's ever happened to me with a BD). Anyway, by that time the sale had ended so I ordered another one from Target barely before they sold out on the website and switched discs, then I printed the barcode for the return of the full priced copy and took it to my local store last night to get the full price refund. It all worked out okay. I love those Grindhouse Releasing BDs with all the special features and bonus CD. GR is my favorite even over Arrow and the others. A rare defective disc could happen to any company I guess.

A couple years ago I bought a Cheesy Flix version of Make Them Die Slowly. Well.....just for the cover. The disc/transfer was horrible.

Cheezy Flix does cheap work.

I have the Grindhouse Releasing DVD which is nice, but I had to grab the 3-disc Blu-ray package. There's a lot of grain even on the Blu-ray image, but it gives it that visceral drive-in/grindhouse look.  8)

Mord

Cabin in the Woods -  This film's brilliance didn't hit me until repeated viewings changed my mind. Definitely one to watch in an altered state of mind.
