An American Werewolf In London - New, Restored Blu-Ray edition

This new issue of the movie is a big improvement over the former Blu-Ray.  In the old version, the picture was so dark that when dead Jack was on screen I could hardly make out any details in his special makeup.  The new issue lets us see all the gore in great detail.  Also Jenny Agutter no longer looks like an artificial tanning product experiment gone wrong.

If any quibble, it would be that the hospital scene where we first see dead Jack might be a tad too bright - but it is still so much better than seeing only two white eyes in an indistinct dark mass.

I just watched the older BD last night.

Saturday morning:

The Wolf Man 2010.

I thought that I'd make this post now as we're supposed to get slammed today with this new storm.

Friday the 13th Part 8: Jason Takes Manhattan (1989)

*I'm a big Friday the 13th guy. I think some fans walked away from series thinking it jumped the shark after part 4. I don't know, but I still really enjoy parts 6-10. 5 not as much.

In my younger years I didn't really care for anything past Part V: A New Beginning, save for Jason Takes Manhattan. Now that I'm a bit older I've relaxed a bit. The only installments I still don't seek out are Jason Goes to Hell and Freddy vs. Jason.

North West

Been watching the reports from up there.

Wish we could get a little of it down here in the South West, where it is so badly needed.
