The Sinful Dwarf (1973)

This may be the smarmiest, sleaziest, down-in-the-gutterest, film ever made. But, if you appreciate the Exploitation genre it's worth watching just for the extent of how exploitive it actually is. There isn't any extreme gore, and even in the X rated version the sexual elements are restrained and brief as far as what we're used to today, but the aura of cheap negativity that permeates this production is so thick you could cut it with a rusty dull knife. The freaks and weirdos on 42nd Street loved it. Anne Sparrow was hot. No wonder she never acted in any more movies.

Aenigma (1987)

One of Lucio Fulci's later efforts, this film is disjointed and not that well executed, but it's still fun if you like the work of Fulci. The plot involves psychic revenge by a comatose girl who was critically injured by her schoolmates. Not one of Fulci's best.

Uncle Was A Vampire (1959)

The best things about this silly Italian comedy are Christopher Lee doing his Dracula bit, and some pretty girls including Silva Koscina (Hercules) and Suzanne Loret (Atom Age Vampire). Frivolous fun little flick.

The Manitou (1978)

This is an entertaining horror film with a good buildup, but it gets a little weird at the end with Susan Strasberg flinging energy blasts at the Big Bad in an illusory background that looks like outer space (there are even a few asteroids flying around! ). She's doing this topless from a hospital bed!  ;)  ;D. The film stars Tony Curtis, Michael Ansara, the afore mentioned Strasberg, and Stella Stevens. Burgess Meredith makes a wonderful, albeit brief, appearance as an anthropologist consulted about the weird Indian spirit possession. I saw this at a drive-in in 1978. I enjoyed it then, and really enjoyed it as a re-watch last night on DVD. The weirdass '70s may be my favorite decade for Monster/Exploitation cinema. There was no shortage of over-the-top movie moments back then.

Demons (1985)

Demons is a stylish, entertaining flick if you just want a cool monster movie with ample gore, but don't expect a deep plot or great acting. This was directed by Lamberto Bava and partially written by Dario Argento. It's considered a minor classic from the splatter strewn '80s. The plot involves a group of theater goers trapped in a huge theater called the "Metropol". A prick from a metal demonic mask infects a curious, and very stupid, hooker, and she is infected with the demonic pestilence that is transferred to the next victim and so on, turning each one into another demon. Very zombiesque. Anywho, soon West Berlin is crawling with green bile spewing demons intent on ripping apart every last human. Another apocalypse brewing... oh no. At the end a small group of survivors speed out of town in search of safety. It's fun.

The Synapse Blu-ray presents the film better than it's ever looked. The only extras are the trailer, and choice of soundtracks with or without subs.
