I love that damned Voodoo Man because it's just so freakin' crazy. Zucco is a Voodoo Houngan who runs a gas station! And, Carradine on those drums is a hoot, as well!

Great line up on those last three. The Norliss Tapes is very good, and The Loreley's Grasp is some pretty good Eurohorror with lovely Helga Line.

ALWAYS MONSTERING...

The Witch (2016)
Freaks of Nature (2015)
Haxan (1922)

Yes, VOODOO MAN has to be seen to be believed; and Helga Line is the showstopper of GRASP. ;)

The Erotic Rites Of Frankenstein (1972)

I received the Kino Redemption BD and finally got the chance to watch this uncut original French version last night. Then I watched it again with the Tim Lucas commentary track. There is much of interest in this acid trip of a Eurohorror flick. If you ever just see one Jess Franco monster movie this should be the one. It's patterned in the style of the adult French comic books of the '70s with over-the-top violence, bondage, torture, nudity, and sexual themes. The BD is very nice with gorgeous picture quality lovingly restored to it's original vibrant colors (in the dungeon scenes especially). There was also a Spanish clothed version which changes the story, but the original French version was Jess' favorite and by far the best IMO. Howard Vernon is great as Cagliostro, an immortal wizard who keeps rebirthing himself by possessing unborn babies. Beautiful Anne Libert steals the show as the blind ravenous Bird-Woman Melisa. She has a few green feathers that are strategically placed to not spoil the view  ;). Eurohottie Britt Nichols stays naked through the proceedings as Cagliostro's newly formed mother of the his new master race (with the Frankenstein Monster intended to be the father). Alberto Dalbes (Hunchback Of The Morgue) is the hero, Dr. Seward, who, along with inept Inspector Tanner, spoil Cagliostro's master plan. This flick has to be seen to be believed. If you like Eurohorror, Franco, naked hotties, or just batsh*t crazy horror fare, then you'll probably dig this French version. I did.

You can watch the English dubbed French version on dailymotion.com, but the BD for 15 bucks is the way to go. The Tim Lucas commentary track alone is worth that.

Watched that, again, the other day. Hasn't aged a bit in 43 years!

It hasn't, it really holds up well! I think McGavin has a lot to do with that, and of course Jeff Rice and Richard Matheson's story/screenplay

You can't even imagine anybody else in that role! (You hear me, Johnny Depp.)

I know, but they're so expensive! I burnt (burned?) a DVD from my VHS of the 1st movie.
