V/H/S 2~Not as good as the first so if you didn't like that one you should probably avoid this one.  I still think the anthology format is a perfect platform for "found footage" film making.  If you did enjoy the first one then give 2 a whirl, there were some decent moments.

Just saw Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug in crystal clear IMAX 3D with High Frame rate, and it was absolutely spectacular!! If you have the opportunity, spend the extra bucks for this -- it is totally worth it. In this format it is like being in the movie or on the set rather than watching a movie. It brought to mind the various stages of jaw-dropping film technology advancement over the last 35 years, starting with Star Wars' space scenes, then Jurassic Park's use of CGI, Lord of the Rings motion capture ("my precious"), and 3D as advanced via Avatar, Prometheus and now Smaug. I highly recommend this movie (unless you don't like spiders, barrels, fire or dragons)...

Wait, so it turns the background, sky, some of the foreground and much of the buildings and plant life into green screen?!  Because that's what movie sets look like nowadays!
