Did you recently break out a Karloff box set, Jim?

Nope, my timing was just right to catch it on TCM.
You knew the job was dangerous when you took it, Fred.

I just watched my new DVD copy of "The Picture of Dorian Gray". It's one of my favorite 1940's horror films.

It! The Terror from Beyond Space (1958)
Terrore nello spazio (1965) aka Planet of the Vampires

Good atmospheric stuff.

I just watched "Godzilla Vs Mechagodzilla" (1974). I got a good price on several Godzilla DVDs I needed recently, so I'll finally get to see several of the movies in the series that had eluded me in the past.

Watched a double feature today: Son of Dracula and Son of Frankenstein. Haven't seen them in awhile, but Son of Frankenstein pulls ahead due to Lugosi/Karloff though.
"For one who has lived but a single lifetime, you are a wise man ...Van Helsing."
"I shall awaken memories of love and crime and death..."

Just watched "Cry of the Banshee" and " Scream, and Scream Again".  A  Vincent Price night.

"Horror Express" (C Lee and P Cushing). Wonderful movie - Missing link/Yeti removes all memory from victim's brains leaving brain surface smooth - they even say "this brain is smooth as a baby's bottom" and in the process boils their eyeballs. Plenty of blood.  Turns out to possibly be Satan? Merely take a hypo and suck juice out of monster's eyeball (nice macro view), examine under microscope and you will see everything it ever saw including some dinosaurs. Memorable line: "The stink of evil is on this train and the dog knows it." What's not to love? The End

I watched "Godzilla Vs Mechagodzilla II" (1993) this morning. This version of Mecha-G is more high tech, but I still love the goofy original Mecha-G. He looked much more menacing in his original form.

Last night, The Time Bandits. Timeless fun!

Have not seen that one in an age, Jim.  I need to rewatch and I bet my 10 year old son would enjoy as well.
