One of my favorite films of the past 25 years -- how'd you like it, Howler? Oh, and be sure to check your candy...

Oh I have loved this movie since it first came out on dvd in 2009. Now I am just plain obsessed with it!! It's great to see that smart original horror movies can still be made.

Amen. It's just amazing (and sad) to me that Michael Dougherty hasn't made a feature fim since he made Trick 'r Treat in 2007, especially considering all the crap that comes out every year. It would be so cool if he could make an anthology sequel (or even get Trick 'r Treat released in theaters for Halloween).

Burial Ground, AKA The Nights Of Terror

Great flick!  Is it just me, or does the professor at the beginning of the film look like Rick Rubin?

I read back in 2011 that there would be a sequel, but nothing has come of it since. Hopefully there will be one. Have you seen the mini holiday videos he made with Sam? I think he made three altogether. There was quite a disturbing one for Easter and I think one for Back to school(not a holiday, but oh well. lol) and one for Christmas.

I just looked them up and they were actually just commercials for FEARNETS's Trick r Treat marathon on Halloween.I'm not even sure if Michael directed them. They are still fun to watch though. There were a lot more than i remember seeing as well.

Yeah, they are on Michael Dougherty's website, as well as an entertaining 27-minute documentary on Halloween the holiday. Here's the link if you haven't seen it (after you click on the following link, scroll down and click on the last photo)...http://mikedougherty.com/trickrtreat/
