When I saw my 3 year old playing with his small cowboy figures and his big dinosaur, the light bulb went on in my head and I thought he would love this movie. Since then, I have seen it 10 times. LOL!!!!

Now, he loves playing with my GORT robot so  we watched The Day the Earth Stood Still roughly 4 times.

Last night I watched I Bury the Living again.  Hadn't seen it in a few years.  Very good movie (even considering the ending!).

My son and I watched Jack Brooks: Monster Slayer it was a lot of fun.  Kind of reminded me of The Evil Dead II.

The Hulk

If there were any way to delete any of the Nick Nolte scenes then it may have been watchable IMO.....actually, come to think of it, that still may not have saved it for me.  What were your thoughts kklloo?

Of Gods and Monsters.Pretty good film.Brenden Frasier actually shows some chops.Anyone know how acurate this movie is?Did James Whale really come up with the  Frankenstein monster's look?I always assumed it was Jack Pierce, the legendary make-up artist.

Well, it was supposed to be the 1979 version of Nosferatu but the online movie company sent us the original. Nothing wrong with that except I own that one. So, technically I guess it would be "Mad Monster Party" as far as the last one viewed.

Watched "The Mole People", followed with "The Dunwich Horror". Still think it's one of the better Lovecraft adaptations. Tonight watching "Beware, the Blob" and "Re-Animator". October always seems to put me into a Lovecraft mood each year with it's chilly temperatures.

I liked the Hulk. IMO, they made the movie as close to the comic as well as the TV series as they could have. The Hulk is a tough character for a movie. He never had a main villian and Bruce Banner was a loner just trying to find a cure all over the world. I guess the main villian is the army, and I believe the comics was the same but it's not like an arch enemy. I didn't think Liv Tyler did such a great job as I thought she was a little dry and unemotional, but I took the movie for what it was. A comic book movie, but with that said: it was not better than Batman or Iron Man and I have yet to see the second Hellboy, but I think I would like that better than the Hulk, but overall it kept me and my little guy entertained as we were watching it.

Also, another complaint I had was the CGI. I didn't like it too much. I still felt it was too cartoony looking. I think the Abomination looked a bit better than the Hulk. I also liked the fact that you didn't see the Hulk leap tall stories but you kind of got the impression he did. I think if they would have showed that, it would have looked fake or really cartoonish like the Ang Lee version. Overall, I liked it and have watched it twice thus far.

Thanks for the follow up.  For me the story did not hold up either.  Maybe they should of just followed the comic book.  More tanks being thrown around and less no dialogue may have made me want to watch it again.

My friend who has worked on a couple Marvel movies once asked me what I thought would make a great feature.  I told him that Spiderman 4 should have the Hulk vs. The Rhino and it is just two hours of smasing buildings with an occasional wise crack from Spidey who is constantly saving innocent bystanders from the falling rubble.  No sub-plots.  No character development.  No anything.   That's it.  Right from the first frame until the last frame.  Smash!

'Nuff said. ;)

You never know, you may see the Hulk in the next Avengers movie. Maybe he'll get to smash some more stuff. He was one of the originals and Tony Stark did appear at the end. I am looking forward to that and the Watchmen.
