Mother's Day (1980)

Troma strikes again with a schlockfest for the ages!! Hillbillies, nekkid women, blood, violence, gore, horrific dental hygiene, overbearing psychopathic mothers, dark forests, chicks camping in their underwear, murder, revenge, groin kicks, abysmal grammar,a ramshackle shack stuffed with 70s and 80s era goodies tossed into piles of filth resembling an episode of "Hoarders".........and possibly the first celluloid-captured use of the word "citified".

Frankly, it was awesome! 5 bananas.

I hate to advocate drugs, alcohol, violence, or insanity to anyone, but they've always worked for me.

Hellraiser 4, 5 and 6. i liked 4 and 5 quite a bit, I had never seen them before and ws surprised at how good they were. 6 was good and featured the retirn of lovely Ashley laurence as Kirsty cotton, but the revelation at the end of what she did seemed completely out of character for her.
star trek 3-the only original series Trek movie I missed theatrically, but of course I've seen it umpteen times on video over the years.

Hellraiser 7 and 8-not bad. these were both shot in Romania, probably back to back. Number 7 was produced by Stan Winston and Number 8 starred Lance Henrickson as the villian who has a great surprise comeuppance at the end! there is one other Hellraiser movie that just came out late last year, but from everything I've read, it is terrible and was only done so that Dimension does not loose the rights to the franchise. It does not star Doug Bradley as Pinhead either(he passed on it because it was such a rush job project).

Friday the 13th Part 3. i watched the 2D version but then checked out some of the 3D version and I was surprised how good the 3D was! It reminded me of the old Viewmasters 3d effect. I will have to watch the whole movie in 3D.
