Frankenstein Must Be Destroyed (1969)
I hate to advocate drugs, alcohol, violence, or insanity to anyone, but they've always worked for me.

"Lifeforce" (1985) - I had seen this once, many years ago, and could remember almost nothing about it, other than the fact that it starred crazy Steve ("Charlie Manson") Railsback, and had some chick walking around naked the whole time. After a friend recommended that I see it again, I rented it. You know what? I like it. The initial segments, with the alien spaceship, are mysterious and exciting. The escape of the space woman vampire (who is always called "the girl"!) is fun, as is the autopsy scene with the not so dead guard. It does drag a bit in the middle, but then comes up with this big apocalyptic ending that reminded me a lot of "Five Million Years to Earth" or "Quatermass and the Pit" for you Brits. London in chaos, zombies running around draining energy from people, a huge column of light blazing up into the spaceship above -there's some great stuff there. The execution is weak at times but overall there's a lot to like. I also enjoyed Frank Finlay as the scientist - a role I would have loved to see Peter Cushing play! Oh yeah, and some might enjoy the naked chick who does indeed run around clothes-free for a good portion of the film. A solid B+.

Over the past few days the little puppy and I have watched:
Oasis of the Zombies 1981 not bad but needed more zombie scenes
Passenger to Bali 1950 actually an episode of Westinghouse's Studio One series
Driller Killer 1979 Bloody movie about erly punk rock scene in NYC as a punk band drives an artist crazy with their non stop rehearsals in the apartment downstairs. So he decides to start drilling homeless guys to death! Mayhem ensues!
Metmorphosis 1989 durect to VHS shennigans about a genetic experiment gone wry with a brief rubber suit dino-monster even showing up t the end!
Naked Massacre 1976-brutal and disturbing film about a crazy Vietnam vet that murders a group of nurses in their apartment. Unlike most movies of this type that revel in violence for entertinment, this one had a strong anti-violence message and fleshed the nurses out as rel sympathetic chracters, not the normal stereotype teens found in these movies.
SnowBeast 1977 well made TV movie bout an angry Yeti terrorizing a winter carnival. The Bigfoot is hardly ever shown but is very effective, Featured Bo Svenson and Yvette "Time Mchine" Mimeaux
Sisters of Death 1977 featuring ARthur Franz with some wacky hair as the father of  girl killed accidentally during a sorotiy initiation. 7 years later he gathers all the girls at his desert mansion and begins killing them one by one...or is he? Used some very effective library music from Werewolf vs Vampire Woman.
War of the Robots 1978 Crazy but fun Italian Star Wars rip off with an almost incromprehensible plot.
Crazy am I? We'll see if I'm crazy or not!

Journey to the Center of the Earth (2007)

I really, really, really tried to check my brain at the door and just enjoy the movie.  Looks like it would make a good video game or roller coaster though.  And I do like Brendan Fraser.
