Navy vs the Night Monsters (1964?)
The Sea Serpent (1984) starring a hand puppet monster and a very old, sickly looking Ray Milland
The Mysterious Monsters (1976)classic "documentary" about Bigfoot,Yeti and Loch Ness hosted by Peter Graves
Hands of Steel (1986) hilarious Italian terminator rip off with john Saxon as the bad guy. Actually it prefigures Terminator sequels by having the terminator turn good and fight a bad terminator that is female. Wonderful slice of 80s cheese!
The Manster(1962) Great creepy Japanese/US coproduction about a mad scientist that turns an American reporter into amurderous 2 headed freak!

I hate to advocate drugs, alcohol, violence, or insanity to anyone, but they've always worked for me.

My music is for Phoenix. Only she can sing it. Anyone else who tries, dies.

Phantom Stranger

A fun double feature:

1) "Gorgo" (1961)

Plot: IMDB

A salvage vessle is nearly sunk off the Irish coast by an undersea earthquake. A few nights later, a walking sea monster tangles with the fishing boats and enters the town. The salvage vessel captures Gorgo and takes it to London for display. Gorgo's mother, who is upset and significantly larger follows his trail to London leaving a wake of destruction in her path.

Phantom's Review:  Entertaining imitation "Godzilla" Interesting story, decent FX and a cool looking monster. Lots of fun.

2) "Mad Monster Party" (1967)
                                 -Boris Karloff

Plot: IMDB

When Dr Frankenstein decides to retire from the monster-making business, he calls an international roster of monsters to a creepy convention to elect his successor. Everyone is there including Dracula, The Werewolf, The Creature, Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde and many more. But Frankenstein's title is not all that is at stake. The famous doctor has also discovered the secret of total destruction that must not fall into the wrong hands!

Phantom's Review: a Halloween treat for the whole family. You have horror legend Karloff as the voice of Dr. Frankenstein and some entertaining animation from the Rankin-Bass Company. One of my favorites.

CRY OF THE WEREWOLF  (not too bad) and THE GHOUL, with Karloff...absolutely delightful.

Both are classics, which one do you like better?

I agree with Sean, that CRY OF THE WEREWOLF is not that good.  In fact, it's pretty close to a cow patty.  That being said:  It DID have John Abbott, Barton MacLane, Milton Parsons and Blanche Yurka....all of whom I enjoy.  It also had the young and gorgeous Nina Foch.

If only it had had a smart-a$$ leading man like Dave O'Brien,  and a modestly decent writer,  it would have been fun.

(Stephen Crane was like watching paint dry...only slower)

Blood Sabbath (1972) decent witchcraft movie with Dianne Thorne a few years before she became famous as Ilsa and Tony Geary many years before he became famous on General hospital. The story is similar to the Wicker Man with the witches yearly sacrifice of a child giving the villagers a good harvest. they dont kill the child, they steal it's soul and then the soules child joins the coven. The 6 or 7 witches shown were all over 18 and were naked 90% of the time too. There is also a water nymph living in the nearby lake that doesn't like the witches and ends up opposing them over Tony Geary.

The Devil's Nightmare (1971) very creepy eurofilm starring the gorgeous Erika Blanc who goes from sexy to creepy in a matter of seconds as a deadly succubus methodically killing off a group of tourists staying at an old castle.
