I spent a few evenings last week re-editing DRACULA (1931) to match the continuity in George Melford's Spanish language version, so I saw it several times.  :)

Universal really butchered the film just prior to its release, and it makes a lot more sense (and flows much better) when reassembled into the proper running order.  If anyone would care to watch it, a playlist is posted at: http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=0DBF112DB86255F0

The biggest differences are in parts 4 & 5, so you might want to skip ahead if you don't want to see the whole movie again.

Nothing's showing my friend. Such a tease.  :D

Hmmm.  I just tried the link and it worked for me.  Anyone else care to test it for me?  Thanks.

Loaded up in 3 seconds for me and my system is almost 4 years old and rebuilt by my kid.

Throw a Twinkie in front of the camera and Shatner will find a way in.

Now that was completely uncalled for!! I'm sure a half million bucks would do just fine.

"NightBeast" (1982)

"Baltimore filmaker Don Dohler does an update on his 1979 film "The Alien Factor" this time only a single alien(reptilian looking)crash landing near a small town and going on a rampage."

What can I say about "NightBeast" that hasn't already been said?? Ultra low budget indy alien flick, cheezy beyond belief, and a Keanu Factor that's absolutely off the charts. No, Keanu isn't IN it, but everyone who IS clearly adheres to Keanu's thespian school.

While the body count is enormous, there should be a disclaimer at the end that states "No professional actors were injured during the making of this motion picture." Because clearly no professional actors were USED during filming. Truly awful "acting".......

in fact, the only thing worse than the acting were the "Special Effects". The special effects consisted of 1982 era video-game laser effects, complete with the video game sound effects. These effects are only "special" in the same way the Special Olympics are "special". Nintendo would have sued them blind had they (or anyone else) ever actually seen this turkey.

Even in the worst old flicks, I always at least look forward to seeing some sweet classic cars. "NightBeast" sadly managed to find a brand new way to disappoint me. Thanks.
Camaros?? Firebirds?? Mustangs?? No. The cars used during filming were some of the worst ever to grace the screen. I saw a Monza, a Dodge Aries, and a Pacer. The mystery of why Detroit is currently the burned-out equivalent of a 3rd world banana republic slum is solved.

Naturally, in a flick THIS bad, the producers had to chuck in the obligatory nude scenes (2 brief ones that only SEEMED to go on forever), which were about as tittilating as having your genitalia slammed in a car door (which I would frankly prefer to seeing anyone in this movie in any state of undress ever again).

My previous low rating had been 1/2 banana. This one cannot even DREAM of hitting that mark. I give "NightBeast" a 1 blackened banana skin rating.

Unfortunately, the DRACULA video has been blocked in France and related territories because someone has claimed a possible rights conflict there.  This prevents embedding, but you should be able to access the playlist at the link I've provided and play it from there--unless you're in France.

If anyone has seen the cut, I'd really appreciate hearing what you thought of it.  I merely followed the editing in the Melford version, but I think it makes quite a pleasing difference.
