"For one who has lived but a single lifetime, you are a wise man ...Van Helsing."
"I shall awaken memories of love and crime and death..."

Phantom Stranger

"The Daybreakers" (2009)

Plot: IMDB
In the year 2019, a plague has transformed most every human into vampires. Faced with a dwindling blood supply, the fractured dominant race plots their survival; meanwhile, a researcher works with a covert band of vamps on a way to save humankind.

Phantom's Review: Much to my surprise, this was actually a pretty decent film. The film had a nice look to it and the story was different. I enjoyed it.

I love these movies with Italian actors pretending to be Americans--it's always a little "off."

I usually do too..........but this was just dull beyond belief. It takes very little for me to find something I like about a movie, but I couldn't even finish this one.

Slither-otherworld worm like slugs slime their way into yer mouth, and pretty much turn ya into an acid spitting zombie.

The Mummy

I hope, for the sake of our friendship and my burgeoning level of respect for you, that we're talking about the classic 1932 version and not the vomitous mass of wasted celluloid from 1999 starring George Of The Jungle.

Great idea, Ok execution. I would say it was a movie that definitely needed an upgrade and watching it today seemed a bit outdated. I am waiting for the remake to come out on DVD so I can compare the two.
