Vegas HOLLYWOOD VIDEO stores as well. But, there weren't any awesome sales.

Our Hollywood Video in Wellington Fl. closed as well. I just spoke to the property manager today to see if I can buy the big "Hollywood Video" logo display that was above the bank of TVs in there.

It's a smaller version of the sign above...........I'm going to take off the "Video" and leave the "Hollywood" with the mountain backdrop and put it over the couch in my loft. I'm going to backlight the "Hollywood" with a soft blue light behind each letter. Gaudy?? Maybe. But YOU don't have to live there, so shut up. ;D

My beautiful wife and I aren't JUST Uni horror fans, we're huge fans of Old Hollywood in general and frankly it's our favorite place on earth. I was going to paint the Hollywood sign over the couch, but this will be even cooler..........IF we can talk them into selling it.

They also have resin castings of the handprints of Marilyn Monroe and James Dean (like you see in front of Graumann's Chinese Theater) made to hang and display on a wall and I need those too.

Sort of off-topic, but ABC Nightly News just used a clip from Killer From Space to add some visual decoration to the quote from Stephen Hawking about the danger posed by aliens. It's not everyday that Harry Thomas' ping-pong ball-eyed spacemen grace the network news!

There was one that closed near me that just left the sign and became "Hollywood Wines and Liquor"

I hate to advocate drugs, alcohol, violence, or insanity to anyone, but they've always worked for me.

Just about to watch Van Helsing. I can't see why people hate this movie so much. It's a fun monster mash up with great performances, great sets, good music, and wonderful makeups. Obviously its not oscar material but not every movie has to be. A great homage to my favorite movies.
Just remember. There are such things.

Jennifer's Body~never need to see that one again, and I would advise others that they can skip it all together.

Ah, a kindred spirit. I'll post pics if I manage to get the sign after I finish backlighting and hanging it. Hey, the original Hollywood sign WAS actually lit with thousands of low watt electric bulbs (it could be seen for miles at night back then), so it'll be an homage to Old Hollywood to have it lit again.

Cool. I wish I could have scored like that. But, the weird thing is,
all Hollywood video buildings have been stripped down to nothing.
I tried to score some store fixtures.
