I hate to advocate drugs, alcohol, violence, or insanity to anyone, but they've always worked for me.

I've seen "Drive-In Massacre"..........a good one!! I'll check out your next 2 suggestions. I just finished "Shriek of the Mutilated" (1974).
Good cheezy fun with a twist ending!!

I love Shriek of the Mutilated.......       Check-out: Satan's Cheerleaders and Don't Answer the Phone.

Ugh.........what a piece of crap that was.

I beg to differ.  Sure it is very different from the original but it did have a few scares, I have seen much worse (and pointless) remakes.  I personally thought it was a very good adventure movie with a Mummy/Horror elements.  Not only that but I believe it opened a door way to all the original Universal movies that some people (myself included) may not have seen otherwise.

The performances are great, the music is amazing, and the story was pretty damn good.
Just remember. There are such things.

Really?!?  Nope,  still a pretty horrible film. Awful CGI, Brendan Fraser's over the top cookie-cutter acting.....
......what else???? Oh! The entire movie and plot, or lack there of....almost forgot that. >:D

The Creeper

Reeds     A strange film and it is alright but nothing great on my opinion.

Yeah, my wife loves it too........but to me it's just another of the vacuous, formulaic "summer blockbuster" types in which we are literally drowning. It's so cookie-cutter. Same characters and storyline we see everywhere, every year, several times a year........ with a new title and bigger explosions. It's a recipe used ad nauseum. It's like baking a cake.

Add one studly adventurer who reluctantly sets out on mission to rescue or kill someone/something. Whip in a white-hot nymphet for sexual tension who naturally at first despises him, but who will eventually grow to love him.

Stir in a wacky, inept, somewhat sneaky sidekick (the brother) who gets the barrel-chested hero into all sorts of comic misadventures along the way. Beat until fluffy "one preternatural villain" who has designs on aforementioned nymphet, whose eventual capture awakens aforementioned square-jawed and follicularly blessed hero to realize his own love for her. Heat in saucepan.

Sprinkle in several teaspoons of "close calls" and one heaping tablespoon of "snatching victory from the jaws of defeat". Stir well, then bake for not less than 1 1/2 hours and not more than 2 1/2 hours.

Remove from oven, allow to cool, then sprinkle liberally with powdered "villain isn't really dead" and one package of candied "see ya next summer for the even more insipid sequel". Serves several million, but like Chinese food it leaves you starving in an hour.

But, to each his own.  It would be pretty dull if we all liked the same things!

The Children (2008)

What was your take on this one? I've seen it twice. It is def a different type of  film. I actually couldn't wait for some of these whining little brats to die. I wish that they had explained how the virus started and had left in the deleted scenes so there would have been some explanation on a couple issues and completed the ending.
If one can get past loud noisy kids this is actually a pretty cool movie. You see family members turn on each other and a couple graphic kid deaths.
