- Dracula (my favorite Halloween movie)

- Son of Frankenstein

- The Wolf Man

I love the exchanges between Atwill and Rathbone, especially Atwill replying to Rathbone's invitation to search his laboratory with his permission, "I did...without your permission"
"For one who has lived but a single lifetime, you are a wise man ...Van Helsing."
"I shall awaken memories of love and crime and death..."

The Thing (2011)-Thought it was pretty good, not better thaan the original but a good companion piece to it!  I'll probably pick this up on dvd and have a double feature watching the prequel first of course!  The only downfall for me was CGI but you can't get around that in movies nowadays!

!!SPOILER!!

It was really cool seeing the insides of the alien and in the middle of its process at that!

Night Key 1937
Tower of London 1939
The Climax 1944

Been hitting the Universal Collection DVDs since Halloween. Watched the Lugosi Collection last week (which should be called the Karloff/Lugosi Collection) and started the Kartloff collection last night. I like Night Key alot-it used to air on UHF when I was a teenager alot. Tower of London is really great, though definitely Rathbone's show, though Karloff is great and really menacing as Mord. The Climax I'd never seen before and it was OK-like the 43 Phantom, too much music not enough horror.

The Innkeepers(2011)-Really enjoyed this one and I'm not usually a fan of films that end the way this one did.  Great supernatural/psychological thriller.  For those expecting lots of action though I would suggest avoiding this one!

Hatchet II(2010)-If you enjoyed Hatchet one then you'll dig this second outing!  It did what any good (or sometimes even bad) sequel should do; more T&A, more gore and expanded the backstory!  Not sure if the body count was higher but it was definitely satisfactory.
