Picked up The 39 Steps and The Lady Vanishes at the B&N Criterion sale. Not exactly genre, but it's Hitchcock. Enjoyed 'em both. :)

"Beast In The Basement" (1970, British)

Two sisters imprison their brother behind a stone wall in the basement to keep him from fighting in WWII (dad had been horribly maimed in WWI). Sadly, by the time the war was over, little brother went bonko, and now they have to keep him trapped in there to protect society from HIM. 30 years later, little brother finds a way OUT.........and the killing begins.

Scatter's review......interesting little low budget Brit horror. A masterpiece it ain't, but it's got a certain charm. Somewhat slow though. 4 bananas.
