So far this week I've watched:
"The Man With Nine Lives" (1940)-always nice to see Karloff in action
"Brainstorm" (1983)-I just noticed today that if you look very carefully, you can spot a few scenes from the 1932 "Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde" on a TV near the end of the movie. Overall not a bad film, though kinda sad that it's Natalie Wood's final movie.
George
Where apathy is master, all men are slaves.

Phantom Stranger

"The Body Snatcher" (1945)
-Boris Karloff, Bela Lugosi

Plot: IMDB
A ruthless doctor and his young prize student find themselves continually harassed by their murderous supplier of illegal cadavers.

Phantom's Review: Karloff! Lugosi! Val Lewton! Robert Wise! All these together make for a classic thriller. Karloff is perfect as the evil Mr. Gray and while Lugosi's part is small, it's still great to see these two icons together. A highly entertaining movie.

Last night i re watched a Global Asylum film called 'Bram Stokers Dracula's Curse' a surprisingly slick film by Leigh Scott, in it a group of Vampire Hunters led by a descendant of VanHelsing have a truce with the Vampires who are almost hunted to extinction.
But the truce is broken by the all female House Bathorly.
It has a bit of an 'Underworld' vibe with good action scenes, but a definite eye towards the classic movies discussed at this sight.

Tonight i intend to re-watch Scott's Werewolf film 'The Beast Of Bray Road'.

Opera Ghost

Watched the Season finale, finally of True Blood. Felt like it was kind of "eh"
