This week I've watched:
The Witches of Eastwick
Hearts in Atlantis
I'm trying to catch up on the stacks of unwatched movies I've got lying about. I have a hard time passing up the bargain bins at Big Lots and Wal-Mart ;)

Zombieland~~The opening scene made me groan a little (seemed cheap-unwarranted & just lame) but it quickly redeemed itself. Lots of blood and gore. Interesting characters, though Jesse Eisenberg was the same character he's been in all of his movies. And hey, you just can't go wrong when "For Whom the Bell Tolls" is your opening song!

I watched "Deadly Friend" earlier today. It was entertainingly bad ;)

Just finished watching The Uninvited on TCM. Heard good stuff about it. Supposedly one of the best haunted house movies of the 40s. I guess there were what 3? Early on a bit of whimsy, middle and end somewhat over dramatic for a lame movie. I've seen better haunted movies on Lifetime. :-X meh.

The Creeper

Long live the UMA!

Lord Blood-Rah

Just watched Curse of the Fly (1965)
No actual Fly in it, but an interesting twist on the series.  Presages the emotional changes shown in Goldblum's The Fly. cl:)

Not scary in the least...a bit comical at times...interesting storyline...

What was your take on this?
Well it really is not scary but the story is all right.  It has funny parts in it, and maybe back in the day it might have seemed scary, but I think it is a good story.

I watched "Surveillance" the other night on Chiller.  Yes, I'm the one who watches those movies.

Brotherhood of the Wolf~I thought it was a cool flick but not if you are interested in horror persay.  Beautiful cinematography thru out, great sets and period costumes.  The story (while predictable) kept me interested even during some of the slower scenes.  I think the CGI (broken record much?) could have been toned down and some more practical effects used at times for the beast.  But all in all worth a watch.
