Not horror, but they are Hammer. Digging into my Millcreek box, I've been playing the other Hammers. All enjoyable, some very enjoyable!


Same British actor plays an Asian character in Stranglers, Tongs and Blood Island.  He's in other Hammer films, too.

That would be Marne Maitland, he was almost a semi-regular in a lot of early Hammers, like Michael Ripper.

One bio says he was Anglo-Indian, so he's not a total fraud as an Asian, like Michael Ripper was (in "Blood Island").

Island of Lost Souls

All first time viewings for me.  Island of Lost Souls was REALLY good.  The characters are so well acted among the main cast of Doctor Moreau, Doctor Montgomery, and Parker.  You can see on Parkers face how much he is absolutely disgusted by Moreau, the more he sees.  Really top notch stuff.  And Laughton is obviously brilliant in it.

Night of the Creeps was delightful in its goofiness.  Dick Miller just having a WW2 flamethrower sitting there in police lockup ready to go made me laugh like an idiot.

I agree. It's almost unwatchable. Halloween Ends isnt much better imo. I do, however, like the first entry in the Blumhouse trilogy, but it's down hill from there. Just my view.

Inferior to the original, but fun enough.  Savinis Zombies in this are almost overdone to the point of being cartoonish, though.  There's a few that are much more underdone makeup wise and I found those far more effective.
