Dracula (1931) with Philip Glass score. Wasn't the disaster I thought it was gonna be but I'll stick with the original version still.

Trick 'r Treat (2009)~Just came home from watching it on the big screen....finally. This film really got the shaft, originally slated for an October 2007 release but then announced that it was moved to an unkown release date; it played some film festivals and the buzz about it was good so surely it would get a 2008 release...nope. It finally saw release but for whatever reason it was straight to home media in 2009. This screening had more people in it than I have seen during any other movie I've been to in the past 2 years.

It's a great little anthology, set on Halloween to boot, and it created a new modern horror monster. We may finally be getting another go round with Sam as the long talked about follow up may finally be happening.

It's really great to be back at my favorite website. This place is the best! I've also had some pretty severe medical issues, and the VA has been keeping me pretty busy with appointments, MRI's and you name it. Monster-kids from the 1960s (like me), are becoming a dying breed. I can't complain, as Universal Monsters have made it a beautiful life.

Be well - and properly horrified.
