Halloween Kills~These new films just aren't resonating with me but I'm still going to watch them all. People doing dumb stuff in horror movies is nothing new but the dummies in this film (who do dumb stuff just so Myers can up his body count) may take the cake. There's some brutal kills but those just feel like they are trying to compete with Rob Zombie's Halloweens and his more vicious/brutal Myers.

Also recently checked out Midnight Mass series, reminded me a bit of Salem's Lot but much like The Haunting of Hill House and The Haunting of Bly Manor (all by Mike Flanagan) there's so much extended dialog that just seems unnecessary. That being said I have enjoyed all those for the most part.

13 Nights of Elvira~This, at one time, exclusive Hulu series finds the Mistress of the Dark perusing Full Moon Features catalog which I for the most part haven't bothered watching (save for Puppet Master(s), Subspecies and Castle Freak). So far I've watched Cannibal Women in the Avocado Jungle of Death, Puppet Master, Demonic Toys, Hobgoblins and The Gingerdead Man; I would like to have seen more Elvira popping out....uh...I mean up throughout these.

Nightbooks~Not bad for kid friendly horror

I went with anthologies:

Creepshow, 1982
Creepshow 2, 1987
Cat's Eye, 1985
ADAM

Lunkenstein

SHARKNADO 2: THE SECOND ONE (2014)
SHE-WOLF OF LONDON (1946)
THE WOLF MAN (1941)
DRACULA (1931)

Note: I remembered Svengoolie airing DRACULA with an added French musical score, so I checked the blu ray to see if it might be on there. It is, but it's only there with the dialogue in French with it. For a novelty, I watched it in French to hear the score again, but with English captions.  The guy doing Renfield's laugh didn't do a bad impression,  but it was different enough and made me laugh when he did it with more intensity later in the film.

Scared Stiff (1953)~Used to always catch this one on Saturday/Sunday afternoons when I was a kid and used to love it....but....holy crap is Jerry Lewis super annoying in this. And I definitely don't recall all the musical interludes; I guess I just used to focus on the end once they get to the mansion. I hadn't seen it in 35 or so years though so it was fun to view again after so long.
