That's interesting. Never heard of that. Sounds like creepy episode  :o

Definitely a creepy and sad episode.

The Hunt  (2020) -  Finally getting to watch this. Not bad, so far. Political comedy with loads of violence.

Stargate, 1994 - An ancient device is discovered during an Egyptian dig in 1918.  It is subsequently revealed to be a portal to a distant world.

James Spader, Kurt Russell, Jaye Davidson, Viveca Lindfors, Mili Avital, Erick Avari and French Stewart.

Fun sci-fi that folded in some of the mysteries of the Great Pyramid in Egypt.  The nerdish linguist as hero is reminiscent of Raiders of the Lost Ark's archeologist.

It's always bothered me that, when they are halfway through finally activating the Stargate, one of the military people directs a technician to "Record everything from the Stargate" - as if they would not have been recording all along.

I have finally gotten comfortable with the Alien bad guy being played by Jaye Davidson.  His presence kinda took me out of the story during my first viewing in the theater.  I immediately recognized him, and a number of others in audience giggled to see the star of The Crying Game from 1992, in the monster roll.

Holds up well after a quarter of a century.

He was one of the soldiers who went though the gate.

Very cool, but just the first episode of a series to be (we all hope anyway).

Horizon: Romulan War (2016)

Wow, Romulans! Should be beyond cool, right? Well there's little in the way of Romulans or their rad Warbird spaceships, just a convoluted plot without a single appealing actor of either sex. Boring and forgettable.
