Monsters For Sale

#19005
Cyborg Girl, 2008 - Orphaned Jiro is celebrating his 20th birthday by buying himself a present and dining alone - as usual.  This year he meets an unconventional girl who joins him and disrupts his plans.  A few hours later, she leaves as abruptly as she came into his life.  The following year, she comes back on his 21st birthday.  What follows will disrupt his whole life.

In Japanese, with English subtitles.

AKA:  Cyborg She and Cyborg Girlfriend.  The original Japanese title includes a female pronoun that can be interpreted as Girl, She or Girlfriend.  It has been suggested that a more accurate translation would be "My girlfriend is a Cyborg".

Haruka Ayase and Keisuke Koide.

As the title suggests, this is a sci-fi based romantic comedy.  It is also a bit more.  It involves time travel and attempts at changing one characters previous life.

While the lead male actor mugs a little too much at times, the overall affect is a sweetly romantic story, punched up with some realistic danger and pretty good special effects.  You gotta stick with it to the end for the full impact.

I liked this movie.  It was fun and left me with a good feeling.
