Mutant cockroaches with the ability to start fires by rubbing their hind legs together wreck havoc on a town. A bit lengthy but still cool for it's time. 6 outta 10.

The Children (2008) From Ghost House underground is a tale of a couple and their kids living in a deep in the English woods house. The sister and her husband and their kids visit for the winter holidays. Never explains how they got it but they ,the children, are infected with some kind of virus that makes their behavior more unruly , then violent and the attacks begin. Some slightly disturbing scenes.
I watched this twice. Once on Friday night and again Saturday afternoon. It was better the second time. There are a couple deleted scenes in the special features that absolutely should have been left in.
I'll give it a 6.5 out of 10.

Offspring (2009) Based on a book by author Jack Ketchem.
A small band of feral flesh eaters who look like they came out of the  later stone age , over half being youngsters ,have been moving along the coastline of the U.S. They attack remote houses and kill or capture the people inside. A retired cop is called in to help the local law track them down.This is a lower budget movie but is still pretty good. It contains graphic gore and violence as well as some nudity. Apparently many people at IMDB did not think much of this one but I enjoyed it. I'll probably watch it again soon.  7 out of 10.
