True story about the only director to challenge Ed World's title of "worst director ever".

So, what's his name?

Tommy Wiseau. He directed "The Room" (a film that makes Plan 9 look like a Cecil B. DeMille epic). I can't think of a more inept attempt at serious cinema (The awkward sex scene alone is worth the price of admission)

Lunkenstein

Number 2 son showed me THE ROOM a while back and it had me laughing quite a bit (for all the wrong reasons of course).

My brother gave me a copy of "The Room", and told me it was the most exciting horror film of the last ten years. He explained that I had to watch closely and listen carefully to the dialog to follow all the amazing twists. I sat the for 40 minutes waiting for something scary to happen. I had been completely duped. By the end, it was too late. I was completely mesmerized by the wall to wall ineptness of the whole thing. I've watched it at least a half dozen times since (mostly in a slightly altered state of mind).  GENIUS!

I tried to watch a "best scenes" compilation, on YouTube. Could only get through half of it. That Tommy guy has to be the worst actor, ever!

I love his fake laugh. I think you have to see The Disaster Artist to fully appreciate what was going on during the filming. Some of the scenes you watched had to have 50 takes or more to get the final shot. Believe it or not, you were watching the very best of dozens of attempts to get Tommy's vision of " perfection". He wrote the script, but he acts like he's never even seen it.

Monsters For Sale

Favor, 2014 - Advertising man, Kip, accidently kills the woman he is having an affair with.  Kip asks a friend since childhood to dispose of the body for him.

Things don't go quite as smoothly as Kip had hoped.

The less you know about the story going in, the more you will enjoy it.

Then you should watch "Very Bad Things", the tale of 5 friends who go to Vegas for a bachelor party.  During the festivities someone dies - then things just get worse and worse.

I will be re-watching it before the day is over.

Right now, I am halfway through Stephen King's "The Storm of the Century".  I really like the atmosphere and feeling of impending mayhem that it has all the way through.  It's my favorite of King's TV mini-series.
