Overall I'm not a giant monster fan, never cared for the original Godzillas but Kong is king.  I did enjoy the new Godzilla though, finally a Godzilla film for those that hate Godzilla.
Interesting! I can't stand big monsters, either (especially Godzilla). What made the new one watchable for you, ZH?

I just thought it was a really well done film and I usually enjoy Bryan Cranston's work.  Of course one has to forgo or look past the silliness of giant monsters but a viewer has to suspend disbelief with most supernatural/horror/sci-fi films.

Gorgeous Blu presentation of the film itself, but I wish we had gotten the deluxe treatment with special features like Kino gave One Million Years B.C..

GET OUT  (2017) - This is the second time I've seen this. It's simply the best Universal horror film in years. Scary, funny, original.....just an all around great film.

The Neanderthal Man (1953)

Fun but cheezy. They tried to pass off shots of a contemporary tiger (with a leash no less! ) as a Smilodon, which must have had '60s Dinokids snickering when this flick had TV showings (any schoolkid knew the difference between a tiger and a Smilodon if for no other reason than Marx/MPC toys and Saturday morning cartoons like Dinoboy on Space Ghost and Mighty Mightor). A young Beverly Garland looked hot!

The new Shout factory! (Scream Factory) Blu-ray double feature of this movie and Beast Of Hollow Mountain makes these films look better than they ever have and probably ever will. It's bare-bones but well worth picking up for Monster Movie Geeks and Dinokids in particular.
