Well, he died the year it was released so I dont think he had to put up with the ridicule for long..

I didn't know he passed away so young. He certainly had much to be proud of for his excellent work as Dr. Miguelito Loveless in The Wild, Wild West. That character was a delightful master villain.

On the bright side, he also was in THE MUTATIONS with Donald Pleascence and Tom Baker the same year and was great in that so at least that may have taken the sting out of the Frankenstein fiasco..
