Tod Browning's Freaks (1932).  I can see how it would have caused an uproar back when it was first released.
"Sometimes I have wondered whether life wouldn't be much more amusing if we were all devils, no nonsense about angels and being good."

The uproar might be bigger today (considering how PC everything has gotten).

Yeah, most public groups (and many individuals) are so thin-skinned and litigation-phobic these days it's rare to hear someone speak honestly anymore. When I was a kid people usually just said what they meant. More negative comments were spoken, but the honesty was refreshing and I miss it. Now most people act like they're walking through a verbal minefield concerning anything the least bit controversial.

Count, do you see contemporary films that are 'as bad' as some of these MST3K entries?  I wonder about the Sharknado films, the Ice Twister films, even the TREMOR follow-ups.  "Will those be as spoofable in 30-40 years?"  Of course, some don't need that length of time to, uh, gestate.   Ferment.  Whatever...

I am glad those MST3K films are being delivered in boxsets, but I wish more (if not all) could contain the original film, too.  Some have, and I love those sets.

I'm going to assume your account was used by someone else when this part was typed!  :o

(Now I wonder why that would be?  I mean, as impossible as it should be to consider Fred Ward and Kevin Bacon as a magical screen "couple", they indeed sparkle compared to the TREMOR sequel filmmakers' efforts.  And they've cemented Michael Gross with flatulence humor so well that they're probably Hollywood & Vine contractors.  What's not to beg for MST3K treatment?!!)

Terror Is A Man (1959)

Re-released as Blood Creature to fill out a double feature in the '60s when Hemisphere was going "blood" crazy with their titles. Good flick, a version of Island Of Dr. Moreau. With uber-hot Greta Thyssen (Miss Denmark 1952).
