Creepella Gruesome custom by Ian McLean, on Flickr

I recently completed my Creepella Gruesome custom figure to accompany (on the tambourine!) her husband, Weirdly, and son, Goblin.

Oh wow! Fabulous job!

Mummy Puzzle Close-Up (Jaymar 1963) by donald deveau, on Flickr
Hey, yeah! Is this The Phantom? Or just a ghastly looking dead guy? Or Zacherley?....
What's the consensus?

Hey, yeah! Is this The Phantom?

Those puzzles snatched images from everywhere, so it was likely copied from a Phantom photo.

No consensus. I think the stiff looks a lot more like Zacherley than the Phantom. My bet though is on some anonymous ghastly dead guy.

I think it looks the most like the Aurora Phantom model.

YoungestMonsterKid

Well, if it is Erik, I'm curious how the story goes. Are the Mummy and him enemies? What's the relationship with the skeleton in the robe? Did the Phantom try to betray Kharis and then pay for it with his life? So many possibilities.

Oh come on! The Phantom is very clearly green:

James Bama would not have painted him in the wrong colour!

I think the puzzle art looks like the model kit itself, not the Bama box art.

YoungestMonsterKid

Yeah. The model, which, is equal parts Chaney and Cagney as opposed to the solely Cagney box art.

It's not the Phantom.   It's based on a weird b+w image from the Famous Monsters cards.

I'm not talking about any Hollywood actor though. I'm talking about the Phantom of the Opera from the sewers below New York City.

Hey, I'm just glad the mystery is solved.
Now, do you have any idea where that photo is from? Was it just taken for the card?

A bunch of the cards in that set are from FM make-up contests and some fan drawings. I'm guessing none of those people ever got paid for using their photos for the card set.  ;D

I believe that is actually Lenore's corpse from 1963's The Raven. The first thing I thought of was Roger Corman when I saw it!  It should have been posted in "Name That Monster Movie"! :)

When times are dark, don't consider art to be merely a distraction; rather, think of it as a lifeline-  Neil Gaiman paraphrase.
