Ain't it though.  Wish they would have made it into a series....kind of a Don Knotts as a Kolchak Nightstalker show.  ;D

There's an idea. Man, i LOVE Don Knotts!

Thought I would make this a thread to post soundtrack listening as well.  This morning:

A little Herrmann to start my day.  Good morning.

I am a HUGE fan of film scores!  My iPod is stuffed to the iGills with horror movie music!

My favorite contemporary composer is Graeme Revell, followed quickly by folks like Marco Beltrami, Tyler Bates and Ceiri Torjussen.  I can listen to these guys' work at pretty much any time, and I'm happy.

However, there is SOOO much great music from the past that also has a permanent place on my iPod.  I've found myself listening to a lot of James Bernard lately, especially his Hammer Frankenstein film work.  Hans J. Salter's Creature From the Black Lagoon and anything by Ronald Stein.
I podcast, therefore I am . . .

How about one that most people tend to think isn't a "monster" movie, even though it is???

This movie's soundtrack reawakened the whole soundtrack genre in 1975, and made John Williams a household name and was the first in a long line of genre movie sountracks that now includes all 6 Star Wars films, The Indiana Jones' 4, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, E.T., the first two Harry Potter films???

I speak, of course, of one of the most recognizable themes EVER... that of JAWS!!!

Bogey

Absolutely.  Great score by Johnny Williams.  I recently picked up the Anniversary Edition of the score.

This is a push, but what the heck.

Now playing:  ;)

A follow up review would be most appreciated, Ray.
