Is there one monster collectible you have always wanted to own
But know there is a good chance you never will ???
Mine I think is the creature pinball machine, just never had the budget to buy one  :'(

Tell me yours!!

When I first started collecting, I bought up everything I saw, especially if it wasn't outrageously priced.  Then, I backed way off.  Now, I really think I'm gonna aim for some of the higher end things I had when I was a kid.  The Marx MIGHTY KONG is first to come to mind.  One I never had was THE GREAT GARLOO.  I had the little wind-up SON OF GARLOO, but no papa.  I guess, "never say never", but it's a lonnnnnng shot to get either of these.

The CFTBL Pinball Machine is a great goal!

Oh ya my grail items i'm real unsure about- Marx RC Frankesnstein and the Marx wind up Frankenstein, Glenn Strange FRankenstein Monster speaker, candy bucket and light, also a frankenstein bike buddy and a mexican creature toy. All of these are very uncertain. Kinda makes ya sad but that's the name of the game.

I've had the pinball machines and have sold them to buy new toys. .
I somehow always manage to find a way to get the toys I want. .
what I really want though , for some time now actually , is some William Castle gimmicky press stuff
that I havent come across yet.  I have some of it. , like the barf bag,the Glow in the dark punishment poll thingy from mr. sardonicus, &  the ghost viewer Illusion-O, but I've yet to find the press kit /cardboard stand set that was sent out to theatres , I believe it was called Cowards Corner. ?  I want this. and I shall find it . I'll let you all know when this comes to pass :D

I think this is why we collect  there are always  items
That are just out of reach or the chase of finding them keeps us going
That we might just own one someday.

I love William Castle's movies and the promotional tie-ins.  The only item that I have is the paper sliding dream interpreter from THE NIGHT WALKER.  I get the feeling that it's fairly uncommon because it's seldom mentioned when people discusss Castle promo items.  I'll try to digit out and show a pic if you want to see what it looks like.

As for attaining the theoretically unattainable, larger expensive items are more unlikely (barring a sudden windfall of wealth).  A inball machine is very unlikely, but smaller items could always turn up in a yard sale (I keep hoping!).  You just never know what may turn up.

Outstanding, Castle was a master!

There are tons of monster toys that I'd love to own but most likely never will. Most of the monster toys from the 70s are way out of my price range. There's also the large LJN Stripe figure from Gremlins that I'd love to have but I can't afford that either.
