Sometimes, something very simple-- This came in today's mail.

And another recent addition (thanks, Andy!) which makes me smile.  I like to add an eye (or two, when needed) just for the rush I get from doing so.

It doesn't matter if a piece is big or small ,it's still a "monsterpiece" !!!!
Good for you ,Robert !

I have the Pitocca CURSE (of the Werewolf) coming in the near future--and it's a jewel of mask-dom--but this Metaluna made me awfully happy when I pulled it out of the box today.  I love 'em all, plain and fancy alike.  Childhood memories regained or grown-up dreams-come-true--they're all worth the same when they make us grin!

Yeah, a lot of the time it's the little, less expensive things that make me the happiest, too.  BTW, great job on the Hunchback!  He needed that eye transplant, looks great.

Robert, I too, love the little things in life as much as the big.

The Mutant mask is cool to me because there is so little on those guys available.
Great addition to a great collection.

Dan, I thought the same thing--the Metaluna guys don't get as much "press" in the memorabilia department!  This mask really caught my attention.   Thanks for your comment--I dunno about how great it is, but it's like Linus' pumpkin patch--it's sincere!  lol

HARRY HAMMOCK

To make this monster kid happy or just relaxed, a rainy sunday afternoon in the fall  in a cool attic(temp wise)lookin through your collection of monster goodies  and mags with the sound of rain on the roof(thunder and lightin, your choice). Most of yall probably have basements, but hearing the sounds outside while reminising is what makes me happy.Damn I must be gettin old!

I know what you mean ,Harry.
My stuff is in a room in the basement but the feeling is the same !!

Nice additions to your collection. I like to browse in my Universal Room every now and then and as I look at my Aurora monster models , I remember a time when you could go into almost any store and find something of the Universal Monsters there. It might be a jiggler, a puzzle or a model but it was right there in front of me. Those ere the days. It would make any monster kid happy to have those days back.

My monsters were in the basement until we moved 90 miles away into an apartment.  Now they're in two closets!  When I do get to go through some of it, by the time I drag out all the tubs and junk and put them all back, a whole day has gone by.  Maybe my daughter will go off to college next year and they'll be able to take over her room.

That's what daughters do,my friend. Mine got married and her room (which was supposed to be my den in the first place) reverted to me.

I have a back bedroom, I COULDN'T BEAR to store my collection away. I spend a lot of time there. Mostly UNIVERSAL and WARREN theme.MIGHT AS WELL PUT ME IN THE GRAVE , IF I COULDN'T VISIT MY MONSTERS DAILY!!!!!!!

It's kind of a mini vacation--just a little trip to Monster Land.  It's a sure-fire stress reliever, except when I'm trying to create more space for more collectibles!
