Does anyone own The Green Slime on dvd? And if you do, where did you buy it? I really love this movie, and I haven't seen it in decades. It came out in 1968 or 69, and I read something last year about a dvd release- but I searched everywhere in 2011 with no luck.

You can get it on Amazon.com. The remastered version on DVD as well as the regular motion picture on cassette. If you still have a VCR that is  ;D

"The Green Slime" is part of the Warner Archive burn-on-demand series. They remastered it in widescreen and it looks amazing. I own a copy of it and can recommend buying it from them without hesitation. Here's the link:

Cool! I saw it was backordered on Bestbuy.com.  I distinctly remember there being some sort of announcement last year about a dvd release, but I wasn't sure if it was remastered or some kind of special edition. I just know that I've been dying to watch it for a few years, and I must find it! hahahahahaha!!
It is a classic, and I can't wait to watch it with my 7 year old grandson  :)  I recently described the movie to him and he was intrigued.
Thanks, I'll look at Amazon. I usually have trouble buying movies on there because they sometimes use sellers that don't give a lot of details on books or movies, and I might end up ordering the wrong thing.  I'll give it a whirl   :)

Ooooh! Thanks RRW!  I just saw your post  :)

Just use the Warner Archive site. They do burn-on-demand for a lot of cool stuff that wouldn't have much interest for the typical Wal Mart customer and wouldn't be cost effective to mass produce. "The Green Slime" is one of their best releases because they put a lot work into the transfer. But be sure to search the database because a lot of other great, obscure genre titles are also available there.

I've been looking up all kinds of movies on there!  :)  I had never heard of burn on demand! Plus- I LOVE to download movies, and avoid the disc storage problem. It says that it goes to Windows Player.....which I verified that I have! Yay!!

I purchased the dvd through AMAZON, last year. Great deal on the price. :D

Isn't it awesome, mars?  I couldn't wait, I downloaded it from WB for $9.95, and we watched it this afternoon!!! This is my "holy grail movie"! I was laughing/crying with happiness to see it again   :)  I know that sounds nutty...but I was really excited to see it. My husband is 56 and he had never seen it! WE really enjoyed it and I remembered all the cool parts, so I was all " Ahhhh! This is my favorite and Ahhhh! watch this part!". Also, the movie looked outstanding! It was crisp and the colors were 60s goodness.
I will probably watch it again tomorrow  :)  I also asked my husband to build me a Green Slime Monster for Halloween.  Best day ever!!
I'll probably order a copy from Amazon to give as a gift for my dad. Thanks for all your help, monster pals!

I'm glad I was able to help you find it. The 2.35/1 widescreen print is indeed beautiful. I love that theme song!

Your lucky Hubby likes it too, Charp.  Karen doesn't care for it, so it's one of the DVDs I watch when she's out.

Not to mention rocking out to the cool theme song... ;)
Supernatural, perhaps; baloney, perhaps not.
