Clothing and sets look fine...............but he looks like Emo Barnabas to me.

I never watched the original series..tried but..no, when exactly does it get good??

When they introduce Barnabas. The first six months, "Dark Shadows" floundered in the ratings. Dan Curtis introduced the vampire storyline as a last-ditch attempt at saving the show. It worked, and then some! The Barnabas storyline was originally only supposed to last six weeks.

No, Emo Kids look like 12 year olds TRYING to look like vampires. Which is exactly how Depp looks here. I like  my Barnabas to appear as if he's passed through puberty at least.

He looks fine to me. He looks pale, which makes sense for a vampire. If it's the Barnabas bangs, I can see where someone would misconstrue it for an emo hairdo, but having seen enough of them to get a grasp of their style, it's not like that. It's just the classic hairdo Frid had, only a bit more exaggerated. Which I don't mind.
